MiG 983 is a collaborative project of two lifelong friends, Stanislav (www.facebook.com/HypnosGenda) and Valentin (www.facebook.com/vstok). They grew up in Liulin, a neighbourhood in Sofia known for its massive Soviet apartment blocks which were built by the communist party to manage the growth of the city and to accommodate the influx of the abundant at the time factory workers. It was in such a block (number 983, to be precise) that Valentin and Stanislav were neighbours and developed their friendship as kids over mischievous ninja games and Michael Jackson mimicry.
Fast forward a couple of decades, the two, - now grown up geezers - are still on the same wavelength but through their love for bold electronic club music, hardware synthesizers, drum machines and improvisational approach to music production. Over the winter holidays of 2015 they got together, hooked up all the gear and recorded an EP of high impact air-to-surface techno missiles which is now finally available for your listening pleasure.
This also gave way to the re-launching of their Pitch White Records project, through which they aim to put out from time to time some of their tracks and those of their friends of similar mindset.
